Cared for Spaces, Beautiful Places Awards Ceremony 2009

Bronte House provided the perfect location for the presentation of the Cared for Spaces, Beautiful Places awards. In the events inaugural year, thirty four nominees were recognised for their commitment to beautifying public open space by caring for a local park, looking after a once neglected patch of land or regularly cleaning up litter or graffiti.

Costa Georgiadis of Costa’s Garden Odyssey was the guest speaker and entertained guests with some inspirational words on working together to green Waverley. Costa gave a warm congratulations to all the award winners and highlighted the importance that their contributions make to the local area.

Even in the sweltering temperatures, everyone kept smiles on their faces, ice creams in their hands and celebrated the efforts of their neighbours in keeping Waverley a beautiful place to live
