The Early Learning & Care Centre Community Liaison Committee

The Early Learning & Care Centre (ELCC) Community Liaison Committee (CLC) was formed in September and is made up of local residents, people on our wait list for child care, precinct representatives, ward Councillors and Council officers.
The Committee has two major roles: to act as a sounding board for Council throughout the remediation and construction phases of the project and to help communicate and share information with other interested people. The committee will meet as needed at key points throughout the life of the project (9-12 months). The first meeting was held in September 2010.

Construction starts, 25 February 2011

The Hon. Peter Garrett AM, MP, Minister for School Education, Early Childhood and Youth, together with the Mayor, Councillor Sally Betts, formally unveiling the works sign. Attendees included local dignitaries, Council staff, councillors, project consultants and community representatives.
