It deals with a range of issues, including the removal of barriers to equal access by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people to Council’s services and structures, to cultural expression, service and employment opportunities. An Action Plan updated in 2002 directs the objectives and strategies of each Council’s department in achieving their goals.
