Economic development

Business is an important part of our community, with over 35,000 registered businesses operating in the Waverley Local Government Area. Waverley Council supports sustainable long-term economic growth through the retention of existing business and attraction of new business and investment. This encourages greater economic diversity, local job opportunities and maintains the community’s quality of life. Council has prepared its first economic development strategy providing a 5 year high level program that began in 2015.
