Certain activities on footpaths associated with development require separate approval
under the Local Government Act.

Moveable Footway Signs, A-Frames
This is an Information Sheet regarding Moveable Footway Signs.

Footpath Seating
Should you wish to provide outdoor seating to a restaurant or cafÉ on the road reserve an application is required to be submitted to Council under the Roads Act 1993.

Planting a Footpath Garden
You can apply to plant a footpath garden at the same time that you submit your Development Application. Planting a footpath garden is optional, but you must have Council consent first.

Occupation of Council’s Footpath Application
Should your construction require the provision of a hoarding over Council’s footpath or require the storage of materials on Council’s footpath you must obtain Council’s approval.

Application for Placement of Building Waste Containers
Should your wish to place a Waste Container on Council's land you must obtain Council’s approval.
