What does our community look like?
Waverley Community Profile and Social Atlas

  • What does the 2006 census say about our community?
  • How have we changed over time?
  • How do we live, where do we work and how do we get there?
  • Where can I find easy-to-use maps, charts and graphs about the Waverley Local Government Area (LGA)?
  • How different is the population profile of Bondi compared with Bronte?

You will find the answer to all these questions in Waverley Council's Community Profile and Social Atlas

What’s the Waverley Social Atlas?

The Waverley Social Atlas uses maps to show you where specific groups of people live. So now you can find out where lone person households are located or where Waverley’s recently arrived residents live; display the distribution of households paying high rents or the spread of older people across the LGA.

How does it work?

Waverley’s Social Atlas

  • uses Virtual Earth interactive maps showing the concentration of specific communities in small local neighbourhoods (Census Collection District (CCD) level)
  • features 2006 census information presented in thematic maps
  • provides summary tables with information for each CCD, suburb, LGA and region
  • includes pan and zoom features and information roll-over
  • allows for you to produce custom tables
  • lets you copy and paste all maps, tables and charts into your document
